I wanna get 20 or 25mm spacers for the back, (I have an '06 530Xi Sport Stick shift BTW) any arguements against them? And what brands to get? I know H&R's have a good rep, any other brand?
EDIT: 1. My rims are OEM style 123s with ET43 (Xi) offsets. 2. My alternative to spacers is to get two ET20 style 123 rims for the back, which would effectively be like putting on 23mm spacers, but that's obviously more costly.
As for the tires, I'm getting a complete set in a couple of months (hopefully, mine will last that long LOL), and I'm between the Potenza RE960 A/S and Advan S4 A/S - my priorities are: handling, longevity, comfort (in that order). I'm kinda leaning toward the Bridgestones - anyone care to talk me out of them? These tires (and rims) will probably become the winter set come next spring - probably.

Depends on the offset of your wheels that you are getting. I would get the H&R spacers which we can get with bolts.
As for the tires I would stick with Potenza's between the two

Yeah, potenzas have worse reviews when it comes to wear, but they are probably much better in the twisties - which is the MOST important thing to me.

Besides, my friend member Seip??nreik? has an X model, and he borrowed my winter setup (8,5x17 ET20) to test how they would fit his car and he told that he almost couldn't handle the car at high speeds when trying to make a tight turn
! If you put, let us say 25mm spacers, that would make the track 5cm/2" wider. That's quite much I think!
