Two HD compatible with BMW USB powering

I may suggest two small USB Hard Disk (1,8") fully compatible as power draining with BMW USB to be used for MP3 listening.



One is a LaCie 60 GB, the other is a 120GB Trekstor with area dimension similar to a credit card.

Have you been able to test these drives extensively? As you already stated, the power requirements of the drive are critical to it working in the car...

Since they are all 1.8" and 4200 rpm drives typically their consumption should be under 1 Watt (typ. 0,12 A @5 V = 0,6 W).

I tested the 60GB one for about 4 months and the 120GB model for a week, always connected and used every day.

If consumption is under 1 watt, then they should work well.
