no offense, but what are these things good for? Unless you have kids and go on long trips often, these seem useless.

Trust me....if you have kids this kind of thing can make a big difference....I used to have to pick up my daughter from day care in the DC Metro area - long story short, the trip from her day care back home during rush hour could be over an hour drive. Imagine the difference between a cranky, crying toddler stuck in rush hour wanting to know "how much longer until we get home", and a silent child engrossed in a video.... I had a cheap DVD that strapped onto the headrest that I had to cover when it wasn't being used (so it didn't get stolen) - an integrated unit would have been nice.
