There was a lot of confusion (and some lies, I believe) in an italian BMW fans forum about TV functions added as an after-sale mod.

Somebody is claiming that any E60 can be upgraded with full TV functions just adding a small module worth 200,00 euros (about 140,00 USD).

What?s the truth? Anybody knows if any product is available on the market to add TV to a E60 car that has been deliverfed w/o it in origin?

Of course I don?t mean the simple modification of the original software done to allow you to watch TV while on the move.

Thanks

yea...i have a similar question but not quite. I want to convert the nav screen into DVD funtionality. I believe Nav-tv.com does something like this. Are there any companies out there that are considered to do a good job for the 545i?

i'm dying to get DVD playback in the car (you know for those long drives)

Wrong exchange rate! 1 euro is worth about 1.30 USD, so 200 euros are close to 260 USD.

Dommage

The BMW "RETROFIT TV FUNCTION" kit is listed at about 700 Euro and you need proffesional navigation

Correct, or you can get aftermarket modules. They override the screen, idrive works in the background.

Thanks to all. Do you know if the TV signal can be transmitted to other displays?
And what about getting input signals from other sources like DVD players?
