Trying to decide between 20% and 35% Tint - Pics please
#1
I am trying to decide to go 35% (legal here in SC) or 20% (not legal). I want to darken the windows first for heat and UV blocking, second for looks.
1) What do you guys think 20% or 35%?
2) Has anyone used a place that installs Suntek brand window film? If so, please give your thoughts on the quality, etc and which version you had installed.
3) If you have any pictures of 5ers with 20%or 35% installed please post them. My car is carbon black / cream beige so I am trying to see how much the lighter interior "lightens" the tint.
Thanks!

No pictures but I always do 3M 35% all the way around. Pics are going to be deceiving because of lighting. Usually tint places have samples you can check out.

I have 35% on black interior and exterior. IMO 20% is too dark. My dad has 20% with dark grey exterior and light interior, beige, and it's still very dark. You can't see the driver even when there's sunlight. I guess it all comes down to your personal preference. As Michael stated above most tint shops have different shades laid out for you to check out.

Get 30% bro, 25 is rough to see at night, and 35 will be a waste of $$$$ you wont be satisfied. IDK whats legal in Clai, here in NY 30 is all good. good Luck

Go Legal!! I say this because man you drive a cool looking, high dollar BMW that
most police love to pull over and give high $$$$ tickets to!
I wish you the best!!

Get 20%. I had 35 on my old e39 and it was good at night not during the day, it was a waste. I have 20% now and its awesome, visibility at night is still very good.
Legal here in NY is 50% which is like nothing, Ive gotten pulled over twice by the same cop in 1.5 years and everytime they just say fix it. I never do. I travel to Tampa a lot it keeps the car nice and cool.
heres a pic
