So I have poured through the audio posts in this forum and have found a bunch of good information on options. I think I'm pretty certain on what i will do on the interior side. My question is on the subwoofer side, I'm looking to put a box in the trunk. My concearn is the amount of bass that will work its way into the cabin. I do not have a ski pass through to help the cause. So I'm looking for opinion on what types of subs/enclosures are going to yield the best.

I have a 500W RMS mono sub powered to a ported 12" P3 and it barely reaches the front seats. Problem with turning it up is that people in the back cant hear a thing.

Not sure what the solution is... I don't think you can turn it into a fold down style.

I'm wondering the same thing actually, in about to put in 2 tens and still trying to figure out what box to do, sealed vs vertical port tuned to a certain frequency? Will it still get threw? Heard of people taking off some of insulation on the back seat, also getting into package tray, in really hoping there is a solution because alot of people say on here they were really disappointed after installing subs in their trucks.

I have a JL Audio 8W3v3 with a 250 JL mono amp in a ported box in the trunk. The bass makes it into the cabin just fine probably because I think JL makes a top of the line sub because honestly 250 rms is nothing i think it may depend on the quality of the sub. If your looking for your mirrors to shake it wont do that but that not what i was looking for. The bass is deep and tight with this setup and suits my needs.

i run the amp set at about 150 hz (the dial goes to 200) and i have the bass boost turned up to 6 (goes up to 9) below is the tutorial i used to tune the amp from JL. I also have the factory settings on the idrive set to plus 3 clicks on bass and treble. hope this helps

My sub gets to the passenger cabin just fine. Almost too loud at times, and my amp gain is almost all the way down.
Granted its in a big, ported box... but no fold down seats and no ski pass through, and plenty of bass.

I have a solid back seat, an old school 10" kicker competition sub in a boston sealed enclosure with a 10" passive radiator, and I have to turn the gain on my punch 300 down to about 25% otherwise it overpowers the L7. I don't know what you're looking for, but plenty of bass gets through to the cabin. box is roughly 14 x 14 at the bottom.

Put a hole through where the ski latch should be... lets the bass in just fine!
