I've purchased an ACS rep trunk spoiler and will be vinyl wrapping my car this summer. Since I plan on having my trunk and spoiler different colors would it work out well if I would install the trunk spoiler after I vinyl wrapped the trunk? Or would a better option be that I would install the trunk spoiler now so it is somewhat connected directly to the car and then vinyl wrap the trunk including the trunk spoiler? If I would do the 2nd route I would have to cut around the trunk spoiler in order for it to show its original color. To sum up the vinyl will be matte white and my trunk spoiler will be gloss black. 2nd route seems like the safer bet in terms of not having the spoiler fall off at high speeds. lol

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks!

Talk to whoever is wrapping your car, they would know best.

Either way it will be tough. If your wrap the car then the spoiler and stick the spoiler on the car it probably wont sit right because you will have to fold the vinyl under the spoiler so the edges look right, and then the base will be uneven. If you try to wrap the car and work around it and then wrap the spoiler separately on the car, I would be afraid of the edges, I feel like it would be too easy for the vinyl to pull up in heat or washing. There is no real way to get the vinyl under the spoiler to hold it down. You could try pushing in under with like a putty knife but I just don't see that working too well. Good luck man, look forward to seeing it done.

I attached my shark fun ontop of the vinyl rod and so far on very strong. Survived couple days of rain no leaks or signs of weakness.

I say install the spoiler when you are wrapping the car. That way you can have the vinyl neatly tucked under the spoiler, yet still have a cutout so that there is still an exposed surface to attach the 3m tape to.
