Someone mentioned to add the M5 trunk lid to the 5 series for a better look. Where would one purchase that M5 trunk lid piece? Dealer only?

Garry Romani of BMW Newport (Rhode Island). He gives E60.net members a 25% discount on ALL OEM parts. However, you'll need to have it painted locally, but I can't imagine it costing more than $50-$75 to paint.

Bought mine from this guy and his service, fit and color were perfect. Cheap, too.

You can also contact Quad_m who sells all OEM parts (painted and shipped) to members on this board at great prices. It just depends if you want replica or OEM. For something like this, I might suggest OEM so the fit on the trunk is flush and you don't see the double-sided tape. Plus, the cost of this part is not very much compared to the other OEM parts that you can get for your car that are costly.

Although I would agree that Quad_Ms prices are very competitive and I have no hesitation in recommending him to people, I actually found that the price he was quoting for the OEM M5 boot spoiler to be more than the OEM part painted from BMW directly!! Needless to say I didn't buy one from Tony.

Here's an ebay seller i recently bought my M5 trunk lip spoiler and color match was perfect with no paint imperfections. The seller is quick on painting the spoiler and quick shipping can't beat the deal

Damn. That is a good deal. I would jump on that immediately, if the quality is that good.
