Trunk key painting?

Has anyone painted their trunk key hole? The chrome is driving me nuts. I'd really like to see it black and I am curious if anyone has taken on this task and what it involved.

You should get the M Trunk finisher which would make the rear look a lot cleaner and the key hole won't be visible.

Isn't that a spoiler? The key hole is in the middle of the trunk. Seems kind of far down to get covered.

No, I'm talking about the trunk finisher which comes on the M5 but not on the regular E60. See the ghetto drawing below.
