I'm going to be switching my rear bumper from stock to an M5 rear soon. I need to know if I will be able to mount the M5 rear while the stock exhaust is in place or if need to have the exhaust removed first. I'm not sure if the tips will clear. I just need to get the rear bumper on before driving over to the exhaust shop to have the quads installed. I want to have it on to make sure the quad set up is a close to perfect as can be.

no,the inner pipe wont clear, but they could just cut a couple of inches off the tip until you get your quads installed.i just went through this with my car.

Thanks Styder. I guess I'll hack the tips off myself. I doubt anyone would want it anyway. What exhaust did you go with? Also, did you go with oval or round tips?

Exactly- in fact I had the installer do the same and weld the tip back onto the stock 550i exhaust for re-use. Took an extra 5 minutes. You will burn the new M5 apron if you don't do this... Good luck and post pics.

i went with the remus system and 76mm round tips ,i like the round tips, gives the car more of a savage back end,but thats just me.either way you will love the new mod,it will totally bring your car to new hights.
