Searching isn't quite answering this one. If I get new wheels & tires and want to reuse the TPMS sensors from my stock wheels (17" style 243), does this need to be done before tires are installed on the new wheels? In other words, if I order a wheel/tire combo, can I install the TPM sensors after they arrive, or do I need to order the wheels and tires separately so I can install?

I had my sensors installed at the time the wheel/tire installation was done.

Did you reuse your old ones?

You can reuse your old TPMS but to get to the sensors you'll have to dismount your tires which means to install the sensors the tires have to be dismounted.

Probably best to order the wheels and tires unmounted - the risk of rim damage by unmounting and remounting tires 2x after installing your TPMS's isn't worth it. And yes, you can re-install the TPMS ... remind the installer to be careful so the rubber seals are not damaged; if that happens the stem and seal kits are about $8/TPMS
