Interesting post, however I think it's important to compare apple's with apple's as 18" will offcourse give less comfort. I made testdrives with allmost all different wheel tire combinations and found that for me at least, the best mix between comfort and drive accuracy is the 225/50/17".
I would be interested to hear when somebody changes over from run flats to non runflats in the same size, what the experience is in noice and driving comfort.

I went from the stock 18" 124's to 18" winter tires (non-runflat). The size is a little different. The winter setup is 245/40 18" all around (but on 8.5" all around).
Comparatively speaking, the don't have anywhere near the "stick" of the Dunlops, but they are surprisingly Quieter than the Dunlops. Ride seems to be smoother as well and less wandering is observed. Could be that they are just New with New Tread. Could be that the wheels are lighter (just 17.5 lbs). Could be a combination of both. Could be neither. Probably doesn't help much, but whatever. As a note. I DID have a flat (screw) in one of my runflats. The tire pressure sensor did work and I was able to get to the dealer to have it fixed without having to take out my jack, etc.

You have no idea how bad the Dunlop run-flats are until you get away from them...that's why my 545 with 19's (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S) rides sooo much nicer than the 18's it came with

Are the Bridgestone run flats as worse as the dunlop run flats?

They're different worse. Compared to the standard RF's the Bridgestone RF snow tires are definitely less sticky and a little harder ride. They sound a little less noisy than the standard RF's do after 10k miles (which admittedly ain't great). They do behave very well in the snow however - I felt much better having them on then not.

I posted a pic of them on this post:
