I recently had a car accident...Insurance will be responsible for all the damages. So I decided to install the M-tech front bumper only. Marcos Body Shop at Pasadena told me that the OEM E60 M-tech front bumper cost approximately $1350 or so (could be more). Insurance company credits me $650, so I will be paying the different of $700-$800.

Can someone please tell me whether I am paying too much for this? Is it reasonable price to pay for the front bumper? Did Marcos give me the right price?

the whole kit costs that much, if that is the front bumper plus paint than that is about right

I don't understand...if the whole kit costs $1350, then shouldn't the front bumper be cheaper? I am paying $1350 for the the front bumper only (let forget about the credit from insurance).

The entire kit costs $1350. The front bumper should definitely be cheaper. But that's $1350 including labor/paint right?

the whole kit costs more than that, but not too much more at all especially with paint and install. the front by itself with the necessary hardware gets marked up, better deal to get it as a package as the whole kit when everything needed is included.

i see...Thank everyone for your responses.

Yes. It includes paint and installation..but I figure if I were not to install the M-tech..they would have to paint the original bumper anyway..so why charge me again for the paint and installation when insurance already paying for it...it seems like I am being rip off.

Do you guys recommend me to ask them to install the rear bumper + the side skirt as well? or should I just get it from Trinity or maybe Euro? will they be cheaper in this case?

Btw, I am not planning to change my rim yet (probably 1 year later...my car is still new)..would the original rim look weird with the M-tech LOL!!! OH its 528 08
