As many of you guys may know, i rarely let anyone perform any work on my cars. I prefer to do everything myself in my own garage. however a fellow member highly recommended member HealthServices (Allen) as a great mechanic and someone I could trust my car with. We connected this weekend to install the following items:
Allen did a great job. He even allowed me to help out a great deal as I am a big hands-on kinda guy. The car runs so much stronger now with the RPI Pulley, i can feel a bit more torque and more power throughout the full powerband...nothing crazy or drastic but a definite improvement. The lowering springs totally changed the stance and handling of the car...im in love! The brake lines definitely increased the stout feeling of the brake pedal. This is definitely an upgrade I would recommend to most.
Above all, from a guy who does 98% of all his own customization and maintenance work if anyone in the SoCal area needs any work done, be sure to connect with HealthServices he's a cool dude and knows what he's doing...hell id go to him before a full service shop to be honest. I ended up paying him nearly double what he quoted me because it was worth it. Anyway, thanks for your help Allen, you and several other members on the forum have made my transition from Detroit to Cali a very smooth one!
Up on the lift:
Pulling off the wheels and accessing the springs:
Draining the brake fluid:
(used) RPI Underdrive Pulley:
I love these damn gloss black 166s lol (time for new meat, i know):
Pics after the drop and a quick car wash:

- Full BMW Brake Fluid Swap/Flush
- RPI 13% Underdrive Pulley
- Repair right rear hub...i had a broken bolt stuck in there...crazy vibrations while driving

i remember when i first got the hood...not many were feeling it...but i knew it would fit the final vision...there were a few elements that had to come into play before the hood fit the greater picture....as soon as i get this tint and put on the 3-piece 21' deep concave wheels ive picked out (still saving lol) it will finally be ready for a show or two out here in Cali

Looks sick Chris. How long before you swap out the entire suspension? How aggressive will that custom setup be you got in the works? I so wanna pick up another set of powdercoated 166's now. Shoulda never sold mine but I needed space.

honestly man, i really dont want the suspension slammed so i like where it is now. for the 21s though i do want a little bit of negative camber (like your set up) so it may require me going even lower. at that point i will look into some coilovers. i plan to run a little stretch on the tires too. im thinking 10" wide up front and 11" or 11.5" on the rear...depending on how the offsets need to be made. i figure if im gonna save up for them...i want them completely custom!
