I thought from 2007 onwards, u need to have TPMS on all Tires? if not a yellow ! light would come on dashboard right..

They can be removed from your old wheels and put on the new ones. It is not very complicated. They just need to push the old tires aside.
If you do not make the change, a yellow light will go on. It is annoying.

Compared to the cost of new wheels (and possibly new tires), buying additional sensors is relatively inexpensive so you might as well just install them so you have full functionality of the TPMS.

When did BMW start using sensors in the wheels as opposed to comparing the speed of the spinning of the wheels in the same axle? I have a 2004 545i. Does it have sensors in the wheel or not?
