Where are you located? I've never heard of this brand before.
For a cheap, but good performing tire, the General UHPs are getting good reviews.

Vredesteins have been around but they pulled out of the US market (I was told) in the 90s and only now are making a comeback. They came back last year and everyone who has them are raving about them. Beautiful looking tire too. They're big in the tractor/agricultural side and bicycle tires as well.

I think most of US guys here only know tires selling on Tirerack.com (me included
)
Vredestein is mainly making bicycle tires![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

Mind you, the 285s come standard on the M5 which of course has much more power. On lesser e60s, the 285s can possibly slow you down and introduce more understeer. For the 530 and the 545/550, 275s are more than enough.
255/40R-19 (front)
285/35R-19 (rear)
So does this mean with these wheels and tires my car won't go as fast???? :'(
Or can I simply get 275s and that will do the trick? Man I had my heart set on the 166 but I don't want to be slowed down by them...

I'm not sure the 40 and 35 will fit.... why not run 35/30 to be safe?
