I think its about time to replace the rubber on my 2006 550i Sport. Right now my wheels are wrapped with ContiSport Contact 3 245/40R18 up front and 275/35R18 in the rear. I live in Florida so a winter tire is not necessary. Does anyone have any advice on a replacement tire package given my location? Any suggestions as far a vendors go? Thanks for the help!

_______

I bought mine from local Kaufman tire company, that was high in price, but they matched Tire Rack.coms prices only after I took the manager a computer print out of the Michelin M5 tires prices from tirerack.com (also install and balance are free at Kaufman tire).

Which tires and sizes did you go with?

I have always used Tire Rack...but recently used Discount Tire with great results. I saved about $50 on the tires AND they had free shipping. So I guess I saved about $110 on a ~$1000 tire order.

Always with tirerack... Hankook V12 -245/40R18 up front and 275/35R18 in the rear sizes are the same as you

I use them as daily and track use. Never a problem. Exactly as the reviews state on tire rack. They are not ps2's though and you have to be aware of the tire pressures with your 550i - heavy and lots of heat. I have gone through 2 sets - 2 driving seasons and about 8 track days- summer tire only!! I live in RI so definitely had to go to a winter tire in November or so.
