How do the Falcons compare to the Bridgestones, Continentals and Pilots? I'm going to go from 19s with Falcons to 18s with the same wheel and probably different tires.
I don't like the ride with 35 series tires up front and I'm hoping that 18s with 40s or 45s (don't know which ones are the correct size with 245s) will improve the ride dramatically. I'm hoping for too much?
If I have to, I'd even be willing to go down to 17x8.5 with 17x9.5 in the rear in a custom wheel like DPE, Asanti, iForged, Kinesis or HRE.

Your roads must be bad if you can't live with the 19's. I'm sure there are members who would be interested in swapping their 18's for your 19's, assume they are style 172 for the Sports Pack? Post an ad in the classified section.

best tire i ever drove was michelin summer and winter tire. but that was on a M3. now i got a 525 e61
. I was looking as well for new summer tires. My brother in law who is driving an e39 has been driving for 2 years on maxxis tires. they are not as good as michelin but maxxis is reasonable priced and they perform well in tests. He suggested me i should try them as well. i pay around 125 euro each for the size 245.40.18 i think that is a nice price. So next week I will be driving them as well. goodluck with ur choice

hey guys,
i need 4 new shoes. i am currently running the stock OEM 19" Continentals. i am considering getting some TOYO T1R. Currently the 550 is being used as a commuter up and down the 405.
any thoughts or recommendations?

My current set is a Bridgestone RE760 these are holding up pretty good and will probably go 35k miles (currently on 26k). There's a noticeable tendency to tramline but I'd guess that's due to the staggered setup as much as anything else. They don't grip as hard as the S02's I had on the S2000 but they last a lot longer and stick well enough and last a lot longer. No comparison in the wet or cold these are far better in those conditions.
The only other frame of reference I had for the e60 was the dunlop winter tires that were originally on the car when i picked it up those were definitely not suitable for this car in the summer. Far less road noise with the bridgestones.
