Tire Recomendation

My Ride: 2004 545i, 1995 M3
Just got some 19" rims for the 545. Need to get tires. Looking at many tires at tire rack.
What is everyones thoughts and experience on the following.
General Exclaim UHP
Kumho Ecsta SPT
Fuzion ZRi
Avon Tech M500
Yokohama AVS ES100
I am leaning to save some money and go with the Kumho instead of getting Michelins, Bridestones or other $$$ tire.

I used to have General Exclaim UHP tires when I had 166 wheels. The traction wasn't on par with the Toyo T1R I had previously but they were a good buy and offered some rim protection which the Toyos didn't.

Basically I need a tire that is as good as the stock Dunlop Sport SP 01 DSST. As this car is a daily driver I do not need the extra performance given by the know going to top tier (Michelin, Bridgestone, etc) tires. This and the price difference is the reason i am considering the above mentioned tires. If however all these mentioned tires are horrible I will not hesitate to get a better tire.

I went with the Kumhos largely because the Generals were on back order at the time. I haven't had any problems with them (about 10K miles so far). Traction is good, incl. on wet roads, and they look nice. Only minor issue is that they tend to flat spot a little over night (goes away within a couple of miles). I have done one driving school so far and think for this they are better than the Generals would have been.
I had the Yoko ES100's in 18" on my E46 330i and they were really loud, esp. as they wore, but handling was very good. I didn't think they would be a good choice for the E60.
I saw so many mixed reviews on the Avons and Fuzions that it made me nervious to consider them.

Love my Generals.
They do best in wet conditions. The best tires I have every had for Florida driving.
They are also quiet on cement pavement, which makes a different when you remove the rubber with low profiles.
Tire Rack has ratings that speak for themselves. Most of the customers there also rave about the tires.

My Ride: No mods
+1 for generals.
I heard from the shop I go to that the tires last really well and is the best for its price. Unless you got some dough for the Michelin PS2, the General Exclaim UHP is great
