Lomag

The pressures for the 525/530 are a little different I think, check the owners manual for that.

As for me, I just lowered my pressures to 32 front, 35 rear. I thought the ride was OK on 38/42 but after a while I realized it was too harsh for me. The roads here really stink! Every little bump was felt so now I'm trying the lower end of the range at 32/35. I took a quick drive around and it seems smoother but I'll give it a week or so to be certain.

The owners manual says to use 32/35 for the 545i if you're having 4 passengers or less. Usually it's just me in the car or me with another person and sometimes 3 or 4 people total. Is there any downside to using the lower end of the recommended pressures? I read in this thread it might make gas mileage a little worse of which I don't care about too much but I'll monitor that. I figure the rims might be more susceptible to getting bent by hitting potholes but I figure at this point, if you hit a pothole large enough to bend a rim, the pressure in your tire isn't going to save you with these low profile tires. I rather have my smoother ride.

Amen, brother. The best thing about a worthy quest is that you never quite get there.
Also, different tires probably run best at slightly different pressures. Lomag, your PS2s each weigh a few pounds less than my Bridgstones, so they may feel different even at the same pressures.
I continue to be pleased at 38 psi all around ... not too harsh, yet very responsive.
