What do you guys think of tints on the 5 ??
The dealership offered me a Formula One Auto tint on delivery of the vehicle....

I'm kind of on the fence on this one....

On one side a dark car with tints looks pretty slick.....
on the other hand tints can make the car look somewhat "cheesy"
p.s. no offence to those who have tints...i've seen some really good looking cars on this forum...

If I do go with tints can anyone suggest what % to go with and if you have pics....even better!!

Welcome, Where are you, and what's your average temp? Anywhere north of the Mason Dixon line, I call that "Pimp Tint."

Cheers,

With the ceramic tints like Formula One or Huper Optik you don't need a dark tint to keep the car cool. But if I were that far north I don't think I would bother with tinting unless you like the look. I am considering it for the swamps of Virginia (aka, Metro Washington DC). I'm a New Englander living south of the Mason Dixon line. <_<

There is also a privacy benefit to tinting. With the sport wagon, I don't want someone to easily see what's in the back. I went with 35% tint...legal and not too dark.

Heaven begins once you head south and cross the Mason Dixon line. Hope you make it here someday.

Tinting helps tremendously down here in South Louisiana during the summer. It definitely keeps the car cooler. When I park, I crack the windows so when I get back in the car it's not like an oven. It's almost like parking in the shade.
