As part of murdering out my car, the tail light are just to distracting in my opinion. I am looking into tinting the tails by film or vinyl. I don't want to go the spray route as I would like to reverse the affect if I don't like it. I've tried some Wal-Mart window tint but it just doesn't flex enough for it to wrap around the different curves. Does anyone have experience with types of tints that works well with tail lights? If so, please specify exact brand and place to get. Any experience with Headlight Armor or Rvinyl?

I had the tails done at StickerCity in Sherman Oaks. They always do a very good job. I will take a night pic and post later for ya. Looks good at night too.

As for the Alpina badge.....I was going to go the Alpina body route but I have ordered the M kit from Trinity and it goes on this saturday so those badges have since been removed.

Although I miss being asked what Alpina is at every light.

 

Just paint them. It looks so much better than a sticker or vinyl. Also the paint procedure can be removed if the painter knows what he is doing.

 

we put that viynl typa tint on my boys gti tails and he wound up ripping it off. it looked decent but in the hot hot summer the corners keep peeling back. and we did everything the instructions said. i dunno

If they do the install the give a 3 year warranty. Mine have never had a problem.
