The % is "Visible Light Transmission" so a 35% will transmit 35 % of the light, limo tint is around 5% I think, so only 5% gets through, hence it is darker. 70% would be lighter.

I don't have pics but I did see a Ti. Silver with 28% in rear, 40% in front.
It was one of the better combinations that I've seen.
A little darker than 35%. I liked it more.

Something semi-relevant...owner's with HUD can't order ( for now at least )
the green sun band on the top of the front windscreen

I have had this on all my previous BMW's and slighlty dissapointed now at it's
absence - really reduced sun/overcast eye fatigue plus it looked good with black
saphire

Alternatives, anyone?

I really like my BMW Reds. They do a good job of eliminating glare -- same as polaroids with HUD still visible.
