I was steered away from 3M by a couple of different tinters in the Dallas area, although I speculate that it's a fine product.
My tinter strongly recommended Solar Gard HP 32%. This was used on my Sapphire Black '08 535, and it looks good. I have no issue with night vision.

40% front and rear + rear shades and 35% in the side windows...
