This looks great. Just out of interest how difficult is it to replace the wheel, mine is a e61 525 m, so have the m-wheel without the paddle shifts? The previous owner of mine managed to scratch the wheel quiet badly, they did the same to the auto stick as well, so any advice on sourcing and changing these two parts gratefully appreciated.

Cheers

Duncan

Hello Keith!

Just great looking!!

Can i ask how much do you pay for the M-Steering wheel with Airbag?! (you can PM me)

Is it not a problem when you paint the discs?! With paint do you use?!

Hi Duncan,

Its not hard to take the wheels off but you do need a helper to pull the airbag when you pushing a screwdriver underneath the wheel (There's a hole underneath the wheel), and make sure your battary is disconnected!!

I assumed you are taking about the scratched plastic trims, if it is a leather, it will nees to dye or for some serious cases, you will need to retrim the leather bit.
If for the plastic trims (Y shape), you can fill the scratches with the some filler (You can get it in halfords), then sand it flat with fine grade sanding paper e.g 2000+, then couple of coats of matte black paint and matte lacquire, then you are done

Hey Mach! Thanks for that mate

It's not a problem of painting the discs, as it will be brushed off automatically when you apply the brake.
The paint is a japanese brand called soft99, its a High temp paint for brake, manifolds, exhausts..etc
Good stuffs

I hope it's cheap. In Holland the wheel costs ? 600,- and to install (by the dealer) another ? 500,- comes above, that's why I passed.
btw, nice looking rims...but i'm biased.
