I think he was talking about naj155's signature with the Rieger bumpers.

I finally got some time to wash the car so I took a few pictures of the RPI exhaust. The car continues to drive very smoothly and the torque is still there and very noticeable over 6,000 RPM. I am still waiting on the ECU Tune from AA. I sent John at Bimmersport a follow-up email today. Hopefully we can get some good results next week.

I got the call from John at Bimmersport yesterday. My revised ECU tune from Active Autowerke is ready so I'll be dropping the car off today in order for it to be re-programmed. I'm a bit nervous so wish me luck. Although the tune I have now did not shine as much as it could in terms of Dyno numbers, the car performs way better than it did before and I have not had one hickup with the engine or otherwise since it was done.....All in the interest of science I guess.

Thanks John,
The ECU re-map was completed today by John over at Bimmersport. From what I understand the new program even more closely matches the behavior of the one created by Active Autowerke for e90pilot's E90. Its hard to tell whether or not I notice an enhancement based on driving the car. It is as every bit as responsive as it was before and it does feel like there is more torque over 6,000 rpm. I've got an appointment to Dyno again on Monday. Lets see what kind of numbers and results we come back with then.

Still think this was a great mod and one of the most rewarding in terms of performance results!

I'm doing this next year for sure, hopefully I can find someone in Winnipeg to do it for me. How much all in should I expect to pay? Where did you get your parts? I was thinking of trying Tischer, I saved a bundle on my trunk finisher.

D33ZNUT5,
Great to hear. I ordered the parts from GetbmwParts.com (Tischer BMW). Shop time with a qualified mechanic like Bimmerpost will be between 3 and 4 hours x whatever the shop rate is per hour ($85.00-$120.00/hr). You can save on this if you are able to do it yourself. I'm not very sure what AA will charge for the tune as it is not yet posted on their website but I would anticipate between $300-$600.00.

(06) 11-61-7-559-523 NTAKE MANIFOLD ? USD $477.00
(07) 11-61-7-559-530 VENT HOSE ? USD $71.43
(08) 11-61-7-579-114 ADJUSTER UNIT ? USD $179.54
(09) 11-61-7-560-538 ADJUSTER UNIT ? USD $179.54
(10) 11-61-7-547-242 SET OF PROFILE G ? USD $16.52
(11) 11-61-7-535-850 SCREW ? USD $0.62 x 4 PCs ? USD $1.86
(12) 11-61-7-535-849 SCREW ? USD $0.62 x 6 PCs ? USD $3.72
(13) 11-61-7-535-851 SCREW ? USD $0.62 x 2 PCs ? USD $1.24

Once you go ahead with this, definately let us kow how it turns out. I would love to see the results of another 525i N42B30 owner!!!

I had the car Dynoed again this morning over at Westport and the good news is that peak Horsepower and torque has improved over the Dyno testing we did before. Our best run now lists Max power @ 195.66 hp with 182.01 ft-Lbs torque. This translates to roughly 256.3 hp @ 238.4 ft-Lbs torque. What still seems to be a bit confusing is that max power tops out at around 6,400 RPM and actually drops off between 6,500 - 7,000 RPM. Also the air/fuel mix ratio changes dramatically is this RPM range. I guess its still a question if the tune increased lift at the top 500rpms, enough.

I'll show the new results to Bimmersport and Active Autowerkes and get their feedback.
