ok now that everyone has set me straight on how i wont be able to have my 545i sound like
a m5, with aftermarket exhaust.
i was reading on how some people go to muffler shops to get straight pipes.
i was looking on advice on what to ask for and what type of mufflers to get?
i really liked the way the rdsport quad exhaust sounded!
i wanted to know if i do this:
1) how much should i spend?
2) would it sound anything close to rdsport?
(i want it to sound high pitched)
3) would it be against state laws or anything like that(from Texas)
thanks again for the help

Hey dude,
There's so many of us that have been doing quads this year.
Here's a link of how the exhaust looks under when I was getting it done by the shop,
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=46447
And here is the link video and sound clips afterwards,

I got my advice from other fellow board members. I think this is by far the best way to save money, if that is what you are looking for.
If not, you can just go with the other high end brands that are pre-made already.
Enjoy.
