i asked Keith at BMW, and he said that my car does not have that function, however off the record, he said some side street garages may have the equipment to do such a thing, but i going to leave it, no risks

really so getting an update can work for me too, its just one thing, when i get an upgrade, will i loose my power and the ecu will reset? as you can see i have a remap to 285bhp, dont really want to loose that,
also looking to get a new sat nav update, that you can enter postcode in and it takes you there, mine has only London Postcode

USA and Europe spec E60s are different when it comes to the Daytime Running Lights. EUR spec cars can select DRL via iDrive. In the US, the dealer has to set it. Of course some clever folks (a.k.a. non-BMW official repair shops) have properly figured out how to add the DRL option for US cars.

My Ride: 2006 530i, sports package
retired: 1988 325ic, 1988 520i (euro), 1989 525i, 1990 525it.
I saw an e60 the other day with very bright angel eyes. Do not know if it was a mod. They were bright white, and would be great as DRL's.
