I tested today my M5 spare cluster just to see how it works.
The most interesting thing is that speedo worked like the standard one, adjusting red line at 7000 rpm
M5 oil temp worked as consumption gauge
Tacho and speedo were accurate, cruise control also worked correctly.

Here is a little video (you can listen - from inside - to the Supersprint at full load as well)
...and one artistic pic of it

Oh yeah 50 Kms

I now have 000015 Kms on it (plus a dot) and also some stored faults from the M5 that can't be resetted with cluster button reset function.
I will try reset them with carsoft tomorrow.

I've replaced it with my original cluster now, all ok!!

I did the "test" function from tacho reset button and was very impressive when I saw all gauges, indicators and lamps, working simultaneously, from start to and and back again to the start.

WONDERFUL, tomorrow I will call the dealer to order it!

But gear ? Why there isn't ?

I need to see gears ...

And kms, it reset km to 0, as new car ?
This could be a problem : is there a solution ?

Nick,
Even if you reset the faults they will reappear. They are caused by the Km missmatch in the four memories. This is why you're getting the dot on the cluster.
