TCU or MULF, LHD or RHD?

Hi all,
First I noticed there are 2 versions in the market and they looked different.
MULF is kinda short and TCU is full length. I have what I believed to be the TCU in my car and I have also connected it up. But it seems I need an earlier version like 2005 -2006.
What I got from a mate here is 2007 which it doesn't detect. so I want to try an earlier version before calling it quits.
And I noticed some part number are LHD in REALOEM. Does the TCU matter which side the steering's on?
