My Ride: 2008 Silverstone II E60 M5 2012 E70 AW X5 50i Sport w/ LCI Aero Kit and Rocker Panels
A bunch of people over the last several months have asked me where I got my tail tint from. I got it from a seller on eBay who disappeared, shortly after I bought it. I was recently browsing on eBay and noticed that the seller is back. Before he goes and disappears again, I thought I would post his product offering this time around. I thought I'd post a new thread for those that are interested. Here it is: Tail Light Tint
/C
PS - Please note that this is for the clear part only, not the red section. However it's a much cheaper alternative compared to having your tails sprayed. I have had zero issues (no peeling, no fading, no nothing). When people walk up to the car, they are amazed to find out it's tint. You can't beat the price either ($23 w/ shipping).

not to be mean and jack the thread, but a better alternative and safer if you take a look at that sellers feedback, go to www.carcustomz.com and purchase from there, take a look at the pictures they have been copied by the ebay seller from carcustomz.

C, if your car was here, I'll show you it can peel off. I've been wanting to "show" Torquey also but keep forgetting.
I do agree that it's a subtle touch to make the car look a bit more aggressive. That said, I think I will smoke only the red portion of my LCI taillights instead of the white area.

ya ECF you should go with the same setup I did. I went with just the red as well. Also I didn't wanna go to dark because on a black car it starts to get a little tacky if you have other "blackout" mods as I did. heres a pic of what mine looked like on my previous E60:
I had sold my tails to Anthony517 becuase my lease was up and I traded mine for his. For some reason though they seem a bit darker on his car then they did on mine. I guess it seemed to be lighter on my car because mine was black whereas on Anthony's car being white the contrast of the two colors makes them look as though they are alot darker.
I will also be tinting my LCI tails as well. I will be doing the same setup with just the red getting tinted however I think I might go a little darker this time.

Hamann5 - You had these sprayed though, right? This is much more costly than what I was suggesting. But yes, this looks great as well. If I could do it the way I wanted, I would LIGHTLY spray both parts (Red and Clear).

But yeah, go ahead and peel it at the next CCH dinner. I want to see what he does to you. LOL!

Umm it was $75.. so I mean its not really costly.. the only advantage of your method is being able to reverse the look, and $50 lol..
