I'm also gonna change to non-runflats.
Most probably i will choose the Pirelli P Zero Rosso and therefore any input about those tires is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Arnold1971:
I just wonder did you like your run-flats? There has been so much controversy here at the BMW forums from BMW owners who do not like them at all, and was running them hard, because they could not wait until the wore out so they could buy non run-flats!
I myself never had a set, but also wanting some when I bought my BMW Style #37 18inch parallel M wheels I thought...until hearing bad things about them i.e. a very stiff rough ride, feeling at times, they were out of balance, and they weren't, etc.
For $750.00 TOTAL I bought 245/40/18 TOYO Proxes 4 instead with the side bead wheel protector from curbs, and so far, I really like them. (That price was from Kauffman Tire and included Install and SONAR wheel balancing, road hazard warranty, etc ),

Hello Presley,
I'm getting my second 530i now on January 4 next. My wife had an accident with my 'old' e60 530i. I take the 18'' style 124 over on put them on the new car. I have driven 22K kms with the Dunlop runflats and in the beginning they were allright, however nothing compared with the Michelin Pilot Sports which I had on my 330i before that. It was acceptable for me. Only after 6/7K km they became noisy on the highways here, yes even driving with 120-140Km p/hr. After driving with my friends car (also e60 530i) who has the same setup but without runflats (he has the p zero rosso) i was convinced that there really is a big difference between my runflats and his non-runflats. Not only comfort, stiff ride & noise but also the traction in curves. Thats why i am now looking for the P Zero Rosso. The Pilot Sport II is also an alternative but i hear they are not so good as the first series.
