So I finally removed the swirl flaps!
Many people (including E60Forums members) have already done that, I have just waited for the time to do it. And now they're gone...
We have had lots of discussion on the forum about the swirl flaps inside the intake manifold, and some unlucky ones have already suffered from them
.
If you're not aware of what I'm talking about, just look at these threads:
- Major diesel engine failure
- Cleaning the intake manifold in a diesel engine
- 530d - Broken Swirl flap = Broken Engine
Kill'em all

I promised a DIY earlier and I'm making it right now, and I'll post a link here when ready
