Ok, in that case, don't worry. There's nothing electrical in rear seats (except the heating function in some cases.

I think you will have problems with how the back of the rear seat is locked into the car. The non fold down has a center lock that holds the seat in. The fold downs have their latches somewhere else - one for each seat. Take a close look before you commit or decide how to change the latches. I have seen a DIY from someone that did a folding seat retrofit.

Thanks for the heads up, however, I have decided to pass on them. I am going to look for sport seats without the heated feature and reupholster my rear seat to match the leather.

See my DIY thread for the Rear Seat Heat retrofit - in there you will find some pics on the reupholster process.

Hi again. Long time no see....

Today I retrofitted -2008 comfort seat replacing my semi-electrics......O my god, this is a totally different seat!
I made a whole new custom made electric harness for the seats and will have all functions exept memory. Of course the explosive whiplash protection will not work either since there is no cable in my car for that.

Took me a day for the driver seat. next weekend will be passengers side.
I kept the seat module from the semi-electrics, so the car don´t know the seat is replaced. No airbag warning. just as planned.

Coming up next.........Car pc is finished. just got hung up with the psu that had to be sent back to the shop. Not working. But soon....

And I got my hands on som JBL toys. Will run fine with my car pc!

Sorry to go off topic a lil bit, but I am trying to get aftermarket racing seats in my car, is it a simple job to just take out the old seats and swap in the new race seats, since these seats are not OEM BMW I don't have to wire it or anything but, will my car give errors? right now I have the stock sport seats with the heated and memory functions, thanks!
