I can not see ANY reason why he would have removed the seat frame .

I think you will solve it when you have removed and reinstalled the rear seat and the backrest .

when the guy installed my ksports. he didnt remove the seat. he didnt go into the car at all. all the work was done bending over deep into the trunk and getting to the rear struts. remove the trunk interior panels. there will be a foam pad covering the struts. get in there with a air tool and zap those bolts off.

 

and btw. when i installed coilovers in conjunction with low pro tires, i noticed a shit load of interior creaks squeaks and other annoyances. prolly didnt help hacking my rear speaker deck and ski hole out to get some bass. that prolly loosined her up some
