I'm about to get me 04 530d superchiped, has anyone else had this done and what results did you get?

Welcome, does your 530d have a particle filter? If yes, it is unavailable because there ECU is so new that most tuners are working on it.

 

...and have you looked at any other tuners aside from Superchips?

 

My car was originally remapped by AMD in Oxford, but when the car went in to BMW for a bit of warranty work they done a software upgrade. The car was in BMW for 2 weeks as they could not load the software they ended up replacing the whole ecu.

I think I would be happier using a tuners a lot closer to me so I could have the car put back to standard everytime it has to go near a BMW dealer.

I have lots of experience with a tuners called Sanspeed in Bexleyheath,Kent as they have superchiped all of my chippable cars in the past with no problems.

 

Thats what i was worried was going to happen.

I was also worried that they might delete the remap when doing a software update. Thats also why ive not had mine remapped because i wanted to know what would happen when someonw took there chipped car back to dealers.

But i think that tuningbox.com power figures are to low and they dont have any distributors in england. But there are distributors of td performance anywhere incase something does go wrong

Td performance figures for the 530d are about the same as other tuning companies are offering
