My 05 530i warranty is about to expire next year,
and I have been thinking about putting supercharger on it. (Probably the ESS with 300hp)
So, may you please share some thought or experience? (Is there a better/cheaper supercharger?)
Such as the effects of supercharge on mpg, emission...etc
I appreciate your reply

Funny enough ive fitted a few SC on S200's and would rate them without a doubt, im not familier with the BMW one but at 6psi im positive you are not putting to much strain on the componants, it looks like a neat install also

I'm interested in this as well. In my past life, I supercharged my old car (Lorinser Kompressor for the Benz E-Class). Already have done some research on this, and ESS is a good company. You should also look into Active Autowerkes (www.activeautowerke.com). They don't have an off-the-shelf product for the E60, but they are willing to custom make a supercharger system for you with all the bells and whistles (i.e., intercooler, alcohol coolant spray, etc.). Turner Motorsports dabbles into this as well, but your best bet is with ESS or AA. Whatever you choose, make sure that the system pumps out no more than 6 PSI, or you run the risk of wearing out the stock parts of your engine, or detonating it (yes, "detonating").
Good luck
