Let me first get this out of the way - I enjoy my 530. I think it is a great car, rides and handles beautifully and is very well put together. That being said, however, the acceleration leaves a lot to be desired (in comparison to my previous car - 04' MB E500). Hence, I was curious if anyone had experience or knowledge of a "trustworthy" supercharger for the e60 530. My concern, for obvious reasons, is the reliability for the engine as well as the transmission and any other negative effects it may have on the car.

So, if anyone can recommend any superchargers out there for my car, I would be extremely grateful! Thanks.

 

I dont that u need a supercharger, i recall the hp on the 04 530i has only 225 hp, and the 06 has 255 plus more torque. Test drive an 06 to see if u can tell the difference in the engines

 

So I suppose you have the M54B30 engine?

Yes, there is a supercharger for that engine. We have a guy in our club (BMW Club of Finland) who at least had a E39 530i with a charger.

This car (and driver) won almost all our race track competitions.

I have to try to find out what kind of blower he has. The car seems to work great also in everyday driving!

 

i ordered a super charger from VF look in my sig, i have not recieved it yet but once i do i am slapping that baby on....I had doubts but i want to see how it runs the inline 6. I think it will void my warranty that is my only hold up. I paid around 5 grand and some change for it......said to boost it to 325 jusrt like the 545i but witht he good ole 6

360hp is awesome, but at what rpm? What about torque?
I'm sure it's going to void warranty, and I'm afraid it's going to mess up with idrive?

Warranty will definitely be voided once you do a supercharger on your car, unless it is from dinan..
