Plastidippin the wheels as we speak!

I'll keep updating as it goes on. Taped the insides with newspaper (2nd and 3rd pics) and also around the rim (1st pic).

I did this a few weeks ago. So far no problem at all. I will need to do some touch ups in the spring, the hub near the bolts was very difficult to get good coverage. I also did the inside of the wheels, as you could still see the silver when the wheels where on.

Nah, I thought about it but ended up not. This is just temporary, to see how the black looks. I have no idea how this will hold up. Plenty of people have done it, so it must hold up somewhat decent. If it doesn't, it peels right off basically like a sticker. Stuff is crazy. I'm probably picking up machined silver 20" Miro 111s for summer tires. Probably get these powdercoated black and use them for winter wheels.

1st coat of 3 coats. And youtube link for technique (not that theres much to it

Just put on the second coat after the first one dried. it starts to look a lot better after the second coat. The key is being patient, not applying it too thick at one time.
Jay8s, how does it hold up in washes? (Touchless)

Pressure washing directly on them is not a good idea. I have had my shadow line plasti dipped for over a year with no problem in the local touch less washes. I went its 4 coats front, 3 on the back. The problem is when you have an edge that is not in contact with the wheel. It will start peeling from there. I have some pics somewhere, and will post them later, currently out and about.

Also a good idea to stuff some cotton balls in the lug holes, so the dip does not peel when you put the bolts back in. It leaves some silver, but the lugs will cover that.
