Ok im going to just use the tape.
Just make sure you get the 3M VHB tape. If the fit's not 100% flush or perfect,
you may have to use some silicone.

i would use silicone but i dont know which kind to get that wont mess up my car if i were to take it off. I have the 3m tape that says this on the package:

super strength molding tape
product number is in the bottom right corner and it is: 03615

suggestions on silicone names/brands.

Does the tape package say VHB anywhere on it?

If not, you might consider it. I found mine at Target, but
I believe auto stores may have them as well. The Home
Depot and Lowes in my area didn't carry it.

As far as silicone goes, member subarashi used PERTEX,
industrial strength adhesive polymer/silicone. Here's his
detailed DIY ACS trunk spoiler installation,
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=52842&hl=

It looks like he used super strength molding tape.

Looking great!
Did you use anything else than doublesided tape to attach it?
