I have been considering new wheels and have decided on the 167s. Does anyone know if the OEM 167s will fit on the e60.

Also, has anybody had experience with replica wheels.

Thanks

Hi,

I don't know something about replicas but no problem at all with 167's as it is identical to 166's dimensions.
But, take care: 167's for M5 not for M6 because they have different offset at the rear and you won't be able to fit wider tire than 275. The front ones are exactly the same.

My Ride: 2006 550i - silver gray, black leather, anthracite, logic7, cold package, SMG, sport, M Aero, nav, sat radio (due 11/05) 2004 545i, silver gray, tan leather, steptronic, sport, nav, cold package (on its way out...)

so, if I want to replace my 18" stock 550i wheels with either 166s or 167s, what size front and rear tires would be recommended?

245/35/19 for front and 275/30/19 for the rear to keep the speedo accurate. You could also do 285/30/19 on the rears. It's a bit taller and wider and it fills the rear better, but your speedo will be slightly off.

actually if u check a tire calculator to get the exact overall size as the stock wheels...u would have to use 245/40/19 fr and 275/35 /19 rears...yet no one seems to use that setup and i dont know why.

Bad advice. No one runs those sizes, because they are wrong for non-M cars and could rub the liner, with sport package.

It's like the others have said, for a non-M car --> 245/35/19 F and 275/30/19 (or 285/30/19).
