My Ride: 2006 530i.... Saphire Black Metallic...19 inch Axis Milanos....Auburn dakota interior.....ACS rear lip spoiler... And a whole lot of head turns ;)
Hey Guys, Im looking for a change for my 5er.. I have a set of Axis Milanos on the car right now, however after seeing how gorgeous the 166's look on a M5 this past weekend.. Ive decided that its time for a switch.
Was wondering where you guys got yours from and how much? I dont need rubber I will keep my old set from my previous Rims. Was wondering if any of you bought the Style 166 M5 replicas from ebay, and if so how are they?
Thanks alot guys!
Kris

I was at Discount Tire last week and saw a wheel catalog that showed some 166 replicas. I asked how much the set would be and they quoted me 737.00. They are made by a company called OE Performance and the style number is 040A. I may buy them later this year. I'm not sure if discount tire has them on their website.

19" 166 replicas (offsets+centre caps) purchased from Lakeshore wheel and tire - $ 1749 including Dunlop direzza v rated 245 35 19 / 275 30 19. Had a small problem with a bump in one of the tires but LW&T resolved to satisfaction. In hindsight, I would have felt better spending the extra $800 for oems + tires.

Just to put in my .02 cents. I would rather spend the extra money and buy OEM 166 wheels. Some replicas don't look bad, but so far I haven't seen a real nice replica of the 166. They just don't look right, looks cheap.
Just my opinion.
