So today, I got my 128s, which I powdercoated Satin Black at Elite Coatings of Plainview put on. I am loving the difference, it literally transformed the car. Much respect to Elite Coatings, Mike, Pat, and Herman. They did an awesome job. It was also only $340.00 to have them done, which is a good price from some quotes I got, as much as $750.00

I actually had trouble with the install. I opted to use the TPMS from my winters, and one of the valve stems was fused onto the wheel with the TPMS. We couldnt get it off for anything. My tire shop had ONE Audi sensor laying around, and low and behold, its the same Beru sensor, including the valve stem So these are interchangable between brands. Got them on in any case, with the Falken FK452s, which have awesome grip. Night and day from the all season Conti DWS.

One minor addition, this reminds me of how AFWUL the stock rusted calipers and hubs are. They really stand out now.. ugh. That's my next project, hubs black, calipers red.

And I know it needs a drop, but since NYC roads suck balls and this is a daily driver I'm not going that route!

Pics:

Just got home with them in the RDX.. Nice and dusty! Since Elite is rebuilding their shop.

How they sit, no spacers:

Overall, I am very happy. Comments/critiques welcomed!

Congrats! I like them!
The finish really looks like satin .

They suite the car very well. Altough maybe 10-15mm spacers for rear would make them more flushed.

None used. It sits a little inward, but nothing too crazy.

I'm not going to use spacers I don't think.

Lol, monster truck. It does sit kind of highish. I measured the rear fender gap and its like 4 inches, 2 in the front. Maybe I will take the plunge and lower it soon. I'm already sleeping on the couch after the wife saw the powdercoating/tire bills
