Its all up to you.. I opted not to install the M-Tech rear... I might still be the only wierdo running this combo... But I have seen the M-Tech rear in person and its not bad... but its not GREAT like the M5s... I like the red rear reflectors and like the little lip that the stock one gives so I kept the stock rear with the M-Tech front and sides...

The MSport rear bumper makes the rear look heavy or Iarger (difficult to describe). Don't get me wrong, I think it looks really good. But it is important to note that it makes tyres that look good or wide enough on non MSports cars, look a lot narrower.

I have the opposite of EBMS03's car.
(And actually have his M-Tech rear bumper).

I like the look.
If only the mudflaps would fit the M-Tech rear...

(And yes, I did get a new fence! )

I, too, like the original rear end over the M-tech's rear end. It doesn't make the stock tires look small. Those are nice pics and tint. When I get tired of the current look, I'll upgrade my car like yours. Thanks for the pics because it helps me to visualize what my car would look like.

How much did it run you to switch the rear bumper?

Around $550 for the rear bumper (Thanks EBMCS03!) and another $400ish for paint & install.

I don't think the rear M Sport bumper makes tyres look narrow, the fact that the majority of M's have OEM 245's takes the credit for that. I've seen SE models fitted with the same width of tyre and they look kind of narrow too. Both body style's really need 275's for the right sporty look IMHO, thats why I opted for 275's on both my last and current cars.

I like both bumpers and went back and forth on it, though I went for the m kit bumper. I liked the lip on the OEM bumper. Then as I studied each bumper, the OEM bumper looks like more of a two piece bumper with the lower lip sort of stuck on looking including the wrap around on the rear to the tire well, whereas the M bumper is more solid looking or one piece I should say. I like the red reflectors, but in the end I personally think the e60 looks better with the entire m kit install. Now I just have to decide if I want the M5 lip. I don't care much for the OEM spoiler.
