Hey Guys! I would have added this to the other thread but I wanted more people to see it and offer an opinion.

Do either/any of these mods work for my 08 550i?

Doesnt that intake/o2 sensor chip go against everything involved in increasing airflow into an engine. I have always been told and learned a car runs more performance on a lean mixture and any rich mixture just decreases performance since you are pumping in fuel but not enough o2 is there to burn it up.

This 02 chip is sayings its tricking the sensor into thinking more air is coming in and therefore is telling the ecu to pump more fuel in and run rich.

Second it says there is "no ECU learning" needed-well that is bull because it is exactly the ECU learning that changes the mixtures it reads-so it has to "learn" this tricked sensor info in order to pump out more fuel to accomodate this imaginary O2 its reading.

All in all sounds like BS

Am I wrong on this

I'm skeptical of this mod. Never heard of anyone here or anywhere else using it.

The electrical supercharger thingy is a piece of ebay cr*p.

You'd need it to make 50 zillion megawatts before you'd see any gains...which it obviuously doesnt!

As far as I understand, the Dinan Software isn't available yet for the 08-550i Sport?

I'm trying to decide on that versus a Remus Exhaust?

What will give the most bang for the buck?

Dinan will give more HP but Remus will give ya some sound. QUite frankly the most underratred mod is an intake. Maybe a few hp but the fun factor involved with the great sound was the best bang for the buck mod I ever made-as far as still enjoying it day after day. Id go for remus-you already have plenty of power and torque-but the tips and exhaust on all 5ers just blows-I have remus and it really fills up the cutout nicely with the big shiny remus tips that are offset like stock but just bigger and the sounds is great.

Two words

VOO DOO

As for other performance adders, save your money. S/W and exhaust might net you 10hp. if your butt can feel that, it is way too sensitive For the money you would spend on these items you could get an Ipod, a good tint job and a clear bra and still have a lot of money left over. just my opinion tho.
