I'm fed up with the crappy sound system my car came with, pisses me off having had to add an aux audio input and now upgrade the system, the sound quality is awful.
The other day I left the car at the dealer and they gave me a Chevy Cobalt with way better stereo than mine.
I want to add better speakers and subwoofer. The stereo itself cannot be replaced as it's BMW and controlled thru the idrive, correct?
Does anybody know of a good stereo shop in the northern VA area? I'm in Sterling, VA
Thanks!

Well the shops that I knew in the area are all closed. I will call some of my contacts and see who is good out there still. If you dont mind taking a trip to Jersey I have a good installer up there.
