Staggered rims or not

Looking at swapping out my OEM rims for aftermarket and the staggered look is appealing. Going up to 19's from 17's. Do staggered rims affect performance or CPO warranty ? ANything to watch out for ? Also, can anyone direct me to where i can find more info on this site about the do's and don'ts of aftermarket rims. Thanks in advance.

Changing the set up will not effect warrentee.
Going to a staggered set up will not allow you to rotate tires front to rear.
A staggered set up does NOTHING to increase performance.
If you like the look - play with offsets / spacers.
It's my opinion that having a square set up offers the best performance - always.

We ran a square set up on the 95 M3 while in CM class with the BMW CCA Club Racing scene. It was the common set up for all cars and continues to be.
Stay square - play with offset and spacers for that "look".

I have to wonder, with my current staggered setup if I need spacers in the front to create a perfect balance?
I'm at 275 in the rear and 245 in the front but the rear is an M6 off-set. Do I need spacers in the front? I know I have some wiggle room for a perfect flush.
