What's the consensus? Do you remove your sprintbooster before servicing at the dealer while still under warranty? Taking the Mach 5 in for its service interval today!

I left it on for 2 service's on my 530. I also had my intake, exhaust and remap on there as well. I think they just replace some filters, a few plugs/belts and some oil and that's it.

I took mine off the first couple times but only because I was afraid the tech wouldn't be used to the sensitiveness of the throttle and might ram my car into something. Then I forgot to take it off at one point and haven't bothered since.

I'm not worried that they will view it as a modification and give me problems. Look at the rest of my car. They've never said one word about all the other stuff. hahaha

I thought they'd get erased with a software upgrade :?:

The biggest problem (I think) is when they try to do a software update. Basically the SW update would not be able to detect the throttle ECU (since there is the sprintbooster sitting just prior to the ECU) and will report a faulty throttle. As a result, you would not be able to complete the sw update.

I don't think the SB will affect the software upgrade at all but you can always get it removed before taking it in; it only takes a few minutes.
