Got it, installed it, love it. But here's the issue: on the first install I put the pins in wrong and it cause a stall, then it wouldn't restart, and gave me the "Engine Malfunction. Reduced Power" message. I checked the pins and installed it correctly the second time and everything's fine, except the Engine Malfunction message won't go away. Again, everything's fine except that. Any way to simply clear that code?

Here is what you have to do, drive to autozone, advance autoparts, etc. you get the idea. The have OBD II scan tools and will reset your code for free, or a really small charge

Try the 25sec reset thing... Put the key in, turn it one slot, then press and hold Gas pedal for 25sec and then release it.
I did this, then after a while driving the error went away.

Thanks to all 3 for the responses. It has not gone away today, so I will do the tranny reset, then drop by the autozone if that doesn't work.

Sooo. . . Autozone ran the codes and says it didn't show any faults (even though the "engine malfunction" light is displayed), and because of that they couldn't clear it. Any other suggestions to clear the fault code?

When they hooked up the scan tool to my car it didn't show any faults either. They tried again and then found the fault.
