So I need to find out if my Sprint Booster that I have on my 2005 545i with Steptronic will work on a 2008 550i with SAT??

yes...it'll work (AFAIK, it's the SMG and Manuals that require a different S
. Your SB is for an Auto transmission, so it will for any e60 auto, SAT or not...

Well it's new to me! It's a CPO 2008 550i, I would keep my 545i but the CPO warranty has ended, and the idea of buying a warranty just so that I could have an 8 or 9 year old car at the end was NOT too appealing! 
Details and pictures to follow, along with a rush of Mods too!

I mulled the concept of a 2011 550i and as I don't drive very many miles a year, I just couldn't justify it, but I'm NOT complaining!
